April launches: A Donation of Hope Campaign that is running in several health food markets. This program is designed to raise dollars in the community by asking for a $1, $5 or $10 donation at checkout. 100% of these dollars will be used to ensure educational resources and free products donated by AHA’s partners can continue to reach the families in need. The current stores participating are: Peggy’s Natural Foods in Stuart, FL., No Name Nutrition Market in Omaha, NE., The Honeytree Natural Foods in Tallahassee, FL., Debbie’s Health Foods in Port Orange, FL. and Orange City, FL., Pensacola Natural Foods in Pensacola, FL., Ward’s Supermarket in Gainesville, FL., The Green Apple in Lady Lake, FL., Body B Healthy in Crestview, FL., Perfect Balance Wellness in Wachee, FL., Sunflower Health Foods in Gainesville, FL. and more health food markets are signing up to participate daily.

AHA Brings Back A Cup of Hope The average American spends $20 a week on a cup of coffee and AHA is requesting those to give up coffee for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks or the whole month of April and donate what you would have spent on coffee or if you don’t want to give up coffee to match what you spend on coffee and Give a Cup of Hope this April to families across the country. http://bit.ly/1BClmXV

AHA’s New Autism Awareness Video: CHOOSE HOPE AHA went to Facebook asking for those who have children with Autism to participate in an Autism Awareness Video to provide inspiration for those facing the diagnoses. The video talks with 3 different families that provide a very powerful message. It also includes pictures from children around the country that were submitted to be included. http://bit.ly/1DlvCXi

The Autism Hope Alliance is the Autism first non-profit to emerge from the Natural Foods Industry and was Founded by Tom Bohager. As of September 2012, Kristin Selby Gonzalez was appointed as President/Chairman of the non-profit. Kristin has been an Autism Advocate for over 10 years and has done hundreds of lectures worldwide. She has seen her son go from a child who couldn’t speak or make eye contact, to a child who now is learning to read, write, rides a bike and participates in activities like gymnastics and karate.
