May 09, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Hosted by La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa in Montgomery, Texas and Worldwide Auctioneers of Auburn, Indiana, The Concours d'Elegance of Texas (http://concoursoftexas.org/) is the largest and most prestigious classic car event in Texas. It has recently been noted as being a prominent contender for joining the ranks with Pebble Beach, Scottsdale, and Amelia Island breaking it's previous record numbers in attendance, exhibitor submissions, and monies raised for benefiting charities this year.

This year, The Concours made the decision to embrace the digital age and focus efforts to capitalize on the marketing communication and branding that only social media can provide by hiring McCarty Business Management Xtreme to develop all possible social media channels. The idea being, participants and exhibitors can digitally and socially display their experiences at The Concours by tagging The Concours accounts and even using specially generated hashtags to win prizes.

Some of the celebrity attractions to entice visitors included Houston-native and Long Drive Golf Pro Joshua Crews who attended and raised money at the Golf Tournament, a Babe Ruth autographed baseball provided by Diamonds In The Rough for one of the silent auctions, The Guinness Book of World Records holder for the Largest Rideable Motorcycle transported in from Italy and auctioned off by Worldwide Auctioneers, and the No. 1 & No. 2 Pontiac Firebirds that were recently restored on The Discovery Channel's Fast N' Loud. Richard Rawlings of Fast N' Loud and Dennis Collins, who often appears on the TV Series, were even surprise speakers at the Next Gen Educational Summit held in the La Torretta Ampitheater and were on sight filming for the show all weekend. McCarty BMX, being a local digital marketing company, is excited to be part of the Concours d'Elegance of Texas events and all of the wonderful non-profit organizations that these events support.

"There are so many incredible visitors that come to the events from all over the world to support the charities and to have the opportunity to be in the presence of some of the world's most beautiful vintage and collector's cars was a no-brainer for us," says McCarty BMX owner, Michael McCarty. "We started working with CoTx at building a solid social media foundation for this year and plan to help them break this year's records next year."

Participants were asked to utilize marketing channels like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter incorporating hashtags such as #CoTxCarShow to show off images of their favorite cars. Even though this year's event has come and gone, it's not too late to share the experience.
