Jan 21, 2014 /prREACH/ -- WWE Superstar John Cena discussed several principles originated by the revolutionary Carb Nite® Solution diet system late last week as a guest on “Katie,” the nationally syndicated daytime talk show hosted by former Today Show host Katie Couric.

During his appearance, Cena advocated for several core ideas from nutritionist John Kiefer’s widely-read self-published diet manual, which has served as the fitness industry’s standard for low-carb dieting since its release in 2005.

Among the several Carb Nite® Solution tips shared by Cena were the concepts of eating foods heavy in fats and proteins for six days while staying away from starches and sugars, followed by a cheat meal—in this case featuring French fries, a well-known Carb Nite® Solution cheat meal treat—on day seven.

“One day a week,” said Cena, “you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want. It sets a great short-term goal. All you tell yourself is, ‘I have to give myself six good days, and then I get my reward.’”

“I’ve utilized Carb Nite principles successfully on a consistent basis with my patients for several years,” said Dr. Rakesh Patel, a family physician and owner of Arizona Sun Prevention Center. “This is the proper way to diet, and it’s the way to get healthy and stay healthy.”

About The Carb Nite® Solution

Published in 2005, The Carb Nite® Solution is quite possibly the most popular ultra-low carbohydrate nutrition book ever produced. Used successfully by thousands of people worldwide to lose fat in record time, The Carb Nite® Solution was authored by John Kiefer, a world-renowned nutritionist whose work has appeared in Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, Muscle & Fitness, and Details magazines.
