Jun 25, 2015 /prREACH/ -- The Online Marketing Institute, the world’s leading provider of digital marketing education, announces the launch of the OMI Small Business Initiative (SBI), created to help small business grow through digital marketing. SBI fosters the ever-growing small business community with an on-going series of training opportunities designed for small business owners, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and those who wish to grow small businesses into high-performing organizations.

Co-sponsored by Genoo, whose founder, Kim Albee, has been named a Top 20 Digital Marketing Strategists, the SBI is a free resource for people in the small business community who wish to gain a thorough understanding of marketing in order to grow their businesses and accelerate sales. Members of the SBI will enjoy free videos and podcasts, members-only web events, and special offers from OMI’s strategic partners specifically geared to the unique needs of small businesses.

According to Aaron Kahlow, CEO of OMI, “While a large percentage of our subscribers are small businesses and solopreneurs, we felt the need to invest further in this community. Many small businesses don’t fully understand how digital marketing can help them, and, we aim to change that. The more knowledge we can provide to the small business community, the stronger that community will become.”

Kim Albee of Genoo echoes these sentiments, “We see many small businesses taking a shotgun approach to marketing, based on inconsistent advice being given by people and organizations looking to sell their services and products – or worse, doing no marketing at all because it’s just seems too confusing. The SBI is focused on providing clear, cohesive pathways based on a complete understanding of the marketing landscape and how it can apply to each business. SBI is not sales-focused. It is results-focused, and the results we’re talking about are the results that our members can experience.”

The SBI website says it best: SBI members can expect to be in a position to make great decisions about marketing investments, increase leads, pipeline, and sales results, and to strengthen their online brand and reputation.
