Sep 19, 2016 /prREACH/ -- Austin, TX - Sept. 25, 2016 – From plantar fasciitis (heel pain) to elbow tendonitis (tennis elbow), no one has to suffer with the pain associated with either condition thanks to treatments now available through advanced medical technology equipment.

Plantar fasciitis is a condition that causes pain and inflammation in a band of tissues that connects the heel bone to the toes. The band of tissue extends under the heel and causes stabbing pain that typically occurs with the first few steps taken in the morning. The pain may abate with usage, but can return after standing or sitting for long periods. The condition is common in athletes, those who are overweight, or wear shoes without adequate support.

Another common injury known as tennis elbow is a form of tendonitis, an overuse injury that can result from multiple types of activities and employment that requires repetitive motions. The tendons and muscles in the forearm become inflamed with pain extending into the elbow joint. Grip strength is compromised and pain becomes worse upon usage.

For both types of injuries, myofascial acoustic technology offers a solution for patients of any age, but is especially effective for older individuals, those with conditions such as diabetes who are slow to heal, and areas of the body that are difficult to reach through the application of other methods. The therapy generates sound waves that pass through the affected area, but can’t be felt by patients.

EPAT therapy is a well-known method for addressing pain in multiple areas of the body through the application of pressure waves. It’s particularly effective for treating heel pain and tennis elbow, patients with neuropathy or hypersensitivity in the affected area, and injuries that won’t heal or are slow to mend. It enhances circulation and stimulates the body’s metabolism, thereby improving functionality and activity level.

LED laser therapy uses dual light frequencies in the infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths for expedited healing and reduction in pain, inflammation and edema. The therapy increases circulation and metabolism, stimulates the immune and healing responses, and promotes collagen production.

Patients don’t have to live with the pain and activity restrictions that accompany plantar fasciitis and elbow tendonitis. Multiple types of non-invasive therapies are available that heal, provide relief from pain, and enable individuals to quickly return to their employment and favorite athletic and recreational activities.
