Jul 06, 2018 /prREACH/ -- B & C Machining, a machine shop located in Timmonsville, South Carolina specializing in Swiss Screw Machining, recently purchased a new Swiss Lathe that increases their precision turning capacity by 20%.  The new Tsugami BO206-111 20 mm 6-axis convertible CNC lathe adds Y2 axis capability to the back tool post for additional flexibility.  The new turning center also helps reduce cycle time by allowing back milling operations to overlap machining operations on the main spindle. Additional features of the new lathe include a maximum bar stock of 20 mm and a maximum length of 210 mm, allowing larger parts to be processed with the Swiss screw type turning.

Brad Sims, the owner of B & C Machining, states, “We are pleased to increase our capacity and provide precision turning of larger parts for our customers.  The new Tsugami BO206-III has already helped us fulfill additional orders and provide better service to our customers.” With the recent addition of a new Swiss Lathe, B & C Machining has increased capacity and experienced a need for more man-hours.  The team is pleased to announce that Chandler Sims has been promoted from a part-time employee to a full-time employee.  Chandler has over 7 years of experience as a CNC machine operator, including experience with precision Swiss screw machining.
