Jan 26, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Atlanta, GA - January 22, 2015 -- Founder and former chairman C. William (Bill) Guy has announced his retirement from Cornerstone International Group, one of the world’s leading executive recruiting networks.

Bill founded the group in 1989, when he perceived an opportunity to create a superior executive recruiting service based on a global network of boutique firms. Members of Cornerstone International Group own their own firms and are established in their regions as market leaders. For instance, Cornerstone International Group was voted earlier as the China Recruitment Firm of the Year as well as other awards in that country.

“It was a good idea then and it is still a great idea today,” reflects Guy. “Our clients receive personalized service, focused attention, plus the best of systems, procedures and practices combined with a worldwide network and resources.”

The network has grown to over 65 offices around the world covering both developed and emerging markets. Prior to founding Cornerstone, Bill served as a Senior Partner of Ward Howell International (now Heidrick & Struggles) and earlier as Senior Associate of Korn/Ferry & Associates, both firms being leaders in the field of retained executive search.

An active philanthropist, Bill served three terms as president of Outreach Love, an international charity for under-privileged, homeless, and mentally-retarded children, and he is the proud recipient of the prestigious “Silver Beaver” Award for outstanding service to youth and to the community. He holds a degree in economics from CSUN, and has guest lectured to students from many colleges including Stanford, Auburn, USC, Claremont Colleges, and SFV College of Law, just to mention a few. He has written many articles, books, and guest columns on the subjects of career planning and organizational leadership, and he has recently published a book on Amazon entitled “Getting a Job You Love.”
