Best-selling author Maureen Orey offers insight into writing process.
Dec 24, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Best-selling author Maureen Orey recently released the second edition of her book, “Communication Skills Training”, which topped the list of Amazon’s hot new releases in the Business Communication category. The book is published by the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and is available on the ATD website in addition to Amazon.com.
“Communication Skills Training” offers tools, resources, and guidelines to help workshop facilitators design a program that can be quickly implemented. The book also comes with downloadable and customizable presentation slides, handouts, assessments, and tools.
“It’s very exciting to see a demand for business training books on the topic of communication skills. I believe that communicating effectively is one of the keys to success for any organization,” says Maureen Orey.
When asked about her writing process and how she has been able to balance authoring a book along with working with clients, Orey replied, “My life has been a constant juggling act between writing, work and family, but I keep myself on track by writing down priorities and keeping a calendar. What has also helped me stay focused these past couple years is being able to work at Co-Merge Workplace in downtown San Diego. It’s great to be around other business owners and collaborate with them in a coworking space. Being around that type of energy has actually helped my writing. I’ve also been blessed with a great team who have contributed to the process with research and editing.”
