Rapid City, SD, Jun 12, 2019 /prREACH/ -- The Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security, a school within National American University, has named Charles M. Russo, Ph.D., the new Associate Dean of the Intelligence Management Programs. Henley-Putnam focuses solely on issues of strategic security.

Dr. Charles M. Russo earned a Ph.D. in Public Safety Leadership with a specialization in Criminal Justice from Capella University, a Master’s degree in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Collection, and a Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Terrorism Studies from American Public University System. Dr. Russo’s extensive experience spans over 28 years of leadership and management experience as an intelligence practitioner working in national defense and homeland security. Dr. Russo has worked with the Office of Naval Intelligence, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He has also served in Joint Duty Assignments within the Defense Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In addition to being a practitioner, Dr. Russo has worked as a Defense Contractor with the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. Dr. Russo has also served as an Instructor with the US Navy Reserves, as well as Adjunct Faculty with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security is pleased to have Dr. Russo bring his exceptional experience to its Intelligence Management programs. Dr. Lynn Priddy, National American University Provost and Chief Academic Officer, welcomed Dr. Russo, indicating “Dr. Russo’s experience and expertise as a practitioner in national defense brings both academic credentials and high-level professional experience to our graduate and undergraduate programs in Intelligence Management.”
