Sep 21, 2018 /prREACH/ -- Scabbard Technologies LLC, a manufacturer of safe and easily portable gun cases, has been a valued South Carolina Vocational Rehab business partner for more than 16 years. The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department prepares and assists eligible South Carolinians with disabilities to achieve and maintain competitive employment.

There are many barriers to employment that individuals with disabilities often face. This partnership with Scabbard Technologies is instrumental in helping to prepare these individuals for success and to achieve competitive integrated employment. The partnership is a win-win for Scabbard Technologies and the citizens of South Carolina.

“Randy McCrary, the owner of Scabbard Technologies, trusts us to send out a quality product to his customers,” said Melissa Weber, Training Center Manager. The partnership allows Scabbard Technologies to provide work to those in South Carolina with disabilities while also receiving quality services. At the Beaufort Training Center, the Vocational Rehab clients inspect, assemble, package, and distribute Scabbard Technologies’ products to individuals and retail customers all over the world.

While the consumers at the South Carolina Vocational Center are preparing the Scabbard Technologies’ line of products they are learning invaluable skills that can be used while seeking employment including data entry, carpentry, and machine shop skills. More than 400 Vocational Rehab clients have benefited from the training opportunities provided by this partnership over the past sixteen years.
