Since being founded in 2003, the company has grown to a diverse team of 20 members and has built more than 1,100 websites.
“Our brand is unique and we’re asked all the time how we came up with the name,” said Mikel Bruce, TinyFrog CEO/founder. “It’s actually a pretty simple story. I was trying to choose a name most people would have a positive association with and most people do like frogs. We also love the fact that frogs have evolved to live in all different climates and are known for being indicators of environmental changes — because in a similar way, we’re always trying to innovate and be on the cutting edge of changes in technology.”
Unlike many web agencies that were forced to close because of the challenges presented by the 2008 recession, TinyFrog faced the adversity head on and overcame it with hard work. Since that rocky time — during which the company shifted to using WordPress — TinyFrog has recorded steady, continuous growth and focused on building its team and services.
In addition to being known for quality work and service, TinyFrog is also recognized for its secured WordPress maintenance service, which started as a way to help clients protect their website investments. Today, the company maintains and hosts almost 600 WordPress websites for clients all over the world.
“WordPress can be particularly vulnerable to security issues when it’s not properly maintained,” Bruce noted. “Our program is essentially an insurance policy in that we take full responsibility for the sites we maintain.”
Not resting on its laurels, TinyFrog is in the process of launching its newest service, Proposal Bildr, the only custom, web-based proposal service on the market. This innovation allows clients to easily build and send custom proposals as actual websites.
