Most young drivers, as they climb the racing ladders, use racing simulation to enhance and maintain their competitive edge. SimCraft and Jordan Taylor have announced a partnership of development collaboration to bring the next generation of simulation products to racing drivers around the world.
Taylor, Chevrolet Factory Driver, who also drives for Wayne Taylor Racing in the United Sports Car Series, will directly contribute to SimCraft’s research and development going forward over the next three years and beyond.
Taylor states that he is very excited about this new research and development partnership with SimCraft. To help develop innovative technologies that will help other drivers is a unique opportunity, says Taylor, who practices on his APEX3 GTC, a 3 degree of freedom motion simulator from SimCraft.
Track time is very limited these days, and drivers look to simulators to stay sharp, including Taylor. With his SimCraft, Taylor can stay sharp between races and learn some things on the sim that can be taken to the real car and the real track.
Taylor, in his early 20s, already has an accomplished racing career. He was the 2013 Grand-Am Daytona Prototype Champion, 2014 Petit Le Mans overall winner, and 2015 Le Mans GTE-Pro winner.
Jordan is a perfect fit for SimCraft. He’ll work alongside SimCraft in their efforts to refine its motorsport simulation products. SimCraft is just as excited about this working partnership, particularly Jordan’s R&D contributions, states SimCraft co-founder Sean Patrick MacDonald.
About Jordan Taylor: Jordan has driven for teams throughout the racing ladder, but has found most success driving for Chevrolet and his father’s team, Wayne Taylor Racing in the Konica Minolta Daytona Prototype. Partnering with SimCraft will also help him with younger drivers, as he also takes time working with Cape Motorsports as a race mentor and driving instructor.
