Currently CIMS offers Phlebotomy Technician and Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy Technician programs, and they have plans to introduce an additional program for Certified Nurses Assistants (CNAs) in early 2016. CIMS is committed to providing the best instruction and laboratory training to individuals of all backgrounds through both academic and hands on training. The CIMS staff is made up of highly trained instructors who have “real world” experience and who are passionate about helping their students achieve success in their new medical profession.

Significantly, this year the requirements to attend CIMS have changed. Prior to this change, hopeful students had to be over 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or have passed the GED, and have some degree of experience working in the medical field. Now, CIMS invites anyone over the age of 18 who has a high school diploma or who has passed the GED to enroll in their programs without any need for prior medical experience. This dramatically opens up the scope of people who are able to register for CIMS courses and affords more motivated individuals the opportunity to get the education they need to land an entry-level job in the medical field.

With these new enrollment requirements comes new opportunities for people over the age of 18 who are interested in a medical career. Now recent high school graduates are able to jump straight into their new profession as soon as they graduate and turn 18. That means that no time is wasted working dead-end jobs with no future.
