Jan 24, 2019 /prREACH/ -- On December 5, 2018, the Education Corporation of America (ECA) announced they would be permanently closing the doors to all 70 of their campuses nationwide on December 7, 2018, due to a pending loss of accreditation. Affected schools include Brightwood College, Brightwood Career Institute, Virginia College, Ecotech Institute and Golf Academy of America. An estimated 19,000 students were enrolled in the various chains of the for-profit education company, and many were left wondering if, when, and where they would be able to finish their degrees. Asher College, accredited by ACCET, the Accrediting Council on Continuing Education and Training, welcomes students from these recently-closed schools to explore how they can reach their education and career goals with Asher.
In the Dallas, Texas area, Brightwood College of Dallas will be shuttered, leaving currently enrolled students without a school at which to complete their programs. School closures impact students directly, disrupting educational goals and upturning the student’s whole way of life. Yet, the closure of one school can mean new beginnings at another one. Students who have been affected by the closing of the Brightwood College in Dallas, or any other school closure, can look to Asher to reach their career training goals. Asher is committed to assisting all students to ‘reach the finish line’ and complete their career training on time.
Students who choose to pursue their goals at Asher can transfer into programs that apply to their chosen area of study. Transferring students can continue their Healthcare career training at the Dallas Asher campus; all three Asher locations offer medical programs, and diplomas for Medical Administration careers including Medical Records or Health Information Specialist, Medical Billing and Medical Coding. Students at the Dallas campus can also choose to explore transferring credits into the Pharmacy Technician program. Additionally, transferring students may be eligible to apply credits towards an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Billing & Coding degree or an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information degree program. In addition to medical programs, Asher College also offers career training in business administration and information technology.
Asher College offers programs with hands-on, practical training for technical careers that are in high demand. In addition to the Dallas Campus, Asher has two additional locations in Las Vegas, Nevada and Sacramento, California.
