These students currently enrolled in IntelliTec’s Medical Assisting program are training to be essential frontline healthcare workers. The video aims to raise awareness about how to limit the transmission of COVID-19.
Medical assistants are essential healthcare workers who directly influence the quality and delivery of vital healthcare services. The Medical Assisting program at IntelliTec Grand Junction is designed to develop much-needed skills for success in this important field and equip students for the career needs of the future. Frontline healthcare workers, such as medical assistants, are essential, and the demand for these workers continues to rise nationwide.
IntelliTec’s Medical Assisting program was designed to help meet the need for clinical and administrative medical professionals in today’s healthcare world. IntelliTec’s Medical Assistant program teaches students how to perform laboratory procedures, understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body, and assist physicians in medical office examinations. IntelliTec students learn to perform administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, insurance, and medical practice management.
The Medical Assisting program at IntelliTec Grand Junction is designed to be achievable in as few as 12 months. Upon completing the program, students are prepared to sit for the AMT Registered Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist examinations for certification. Nationally-recognized industry certifications such as these demonstrate to potential employers the job candidate’s skill and knowledge level.
