The latest victims are residents of St. Joseph, La.
Dangerous levels of lead have been discovered in the water systems in Flint, Mich., and Sebring, Ohio, and now comes word from CNN and other media outlets that tap water in St. Joseph, La., frequently comes out brown or yellow, due to high levels of iron. Some residents are driving long distances to wash their clothes, while others are buying bottled water in which to bathe. A Louisiana state health official claims St. Joseph’s water is safe, but admits he wouldn’t drink it.
