Sep 21, 2018 /prREACH/ -- Asher College in Dallas, a career-training vocational school, is proud to announce the addition of Computer Coding to their current IT curriculum. Asher College, already a leader in IT career training, is adding a coding course as an elective to their current Information Technology programs.

Computer coding and programming is a skill that can lead to better job opportunities. Asher’s new computer coding course teaches the basics of HTML and building websites. Asher’s course shows students how to develop an internet web design and build a template with HTML5, how to enhance websites with links and images, how to apply CSS styles to web pages, and how to embed audio and video into a web page. Skills that are still in demand as the IT field continues to be in high demand.

According to Eddie Cook, the Director of Admissions at Asher College in Sacramento, “This is a great introduction to coding. Learning HTML5 will prepare our students with a foundation for IT Programming.” The coding course will be available to all Asher students, and is included in the curriculum for several IT certificate and degree programs. Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Computer and Network Technology, Computer Information, and IT Server Administration all include the computer coding/programming course.

The Computer and Network Technician, Computer Information Specialist, and IT Server Administrator certificate programs also include the new coding course. Asher College trains students for success in Information Technology (IT) careers. IT professionals install, troubleshoot, and repair computers and their networks. Individuals, companies, and organizations all depend upon computers, and the IT professionals who work with them. As a result, IT Professionals are in high demand. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) expects employment in IT professions will grow by 13% in the coming years, faster than the average for all occupations, and account for 577,100 new jobs in the U.S. by 2026.

Asher College is an official Microsoft Imagine Academy, a CompTIA Academy partner, a Cisco training provider, a Pearson Vue testing center, and is accredited through ACCET. Asher College has three locations: Sacramento, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Dallas, Texas.
