El Cajon, CA, May 19, 2021 /prREACH/ -- ATA College has announced enrollment is now open for new HVAC Technician training programs at its El Cajon, California campus. The new 10-week HVAC I program and 40-week HVAC II program will begin in June 2021 and enrollment is open now.

A career-training institute, ATA’s mission is to train students to fill the jobs that are in high demand in their communities. The demand for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technicians and Installers is consistently high nationwide, and demand for these specially-trained technicians is significant in Southern California. ATA is adding these new HVAC training programs in order to prepare students with the skills they need to meet this demand.

The administrative team at ATA was excited to announce the addition of the new HVAC training programs, stating, “At ATA, our goal is to provide our students with the training programs they need for careers in today’s world. HVAC is a growing field and we are proud to provide top-level training to the next generation of technicians. With the addition of these new HVAC training programs, ATA is now even better positioned to serve our students.” Key faculty and staff agreed, stating, “Whatever we can do to help our students is always our main focus.”

ATA College specializes in providing the technical training students need to be successful in their chosen field. ATA’s HVAC Technician training programs teach students the knowledge and skills to install, service and repair both residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. Students learn to perform maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration systems, including refrigerant recovery and evacuation.

ATA offers students two choices for HVAC training: the 10-week HVAC I program is designed for students who already have prior industry experience, while the 40-week HVAC II program is for students who are just entering the field. The HVAC II program includes a 5-week externship course, in which students can apply their skills with practical experience in the field.

Graduates of ATA’s HVAC Technician training programs will be prepared to test for the EPA 608 Universal Certification, a nationally recognized industry certification, and are prepared to immediately enter the workforce and begin entry-level careers as HVAC technicians.

Training programs at ATA are designed to be as flexible and achievable as possible, and each of ATA’s HVAC training programs is offered in both hybrid-online and in-person formats. ATA’s hybrid online classes enable students to complete the majority of the coursework online while receiving hands-on skills training through regularly scheduled on-campus labs. All students at ATA receive job placement assistance and career readiness training.
