Dec 10, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Ayahuasca retreats are officially being offered to guests across the globe at the new healing center, The Garden of Peace, confirmed a representative of the company today. The next 10 day Ayahuasca retreat is scheduled for January 8 - 17, 2015.

The Garden of Peace is situated in the very peaceful environment of the high jungles of the Amazon, just 90 minutes from Tarapoto, in the North East of Peru. The center has been built on land that is considered some of the most beautiful, rich & lush rainforest of Peru. The highly energetic atmosphere, greenery and calm environment play a vital part in enhancing the effects of the healing therapy that this Ayahuasca retreat center offers.

The Garden of Peace is designed to help members to release any emotional pain, traumas or psychological unhappiness of any form. Additionally, countless physical ailments such as arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer has been reportedly healed through the plant-based diet that the ‘curandero’ - commonly known as ‘shaman’ - is able to facilitate. Reports of healing depression, addictions and ‘lack of direction’ or purpose is also common through the plant-based medicine of Ayahuasca.

Speaking to media, Trinity de Guzman, the Co-founder of the center said, “We are waking up. Now is the time when we have chosen as a collective species to wake up, and transcend all of the limitations, fears, habits, and ways of being and thinking that keep us unhappy, playing small, and disconnected. Ayahuasca is the greatest tool I have ever experienced to do this, and after seeing the transformation it cannot help but bring, I have committed my life to sharing it, or more so, Awakening, with the world.”

The Garden of Peace has just recently finished construction of the private guest housing, as well as the ‘maloka’ – known as the temple in English. Guests are given their own individual hut, just a few feet away from the beautiful river that is on the land.

The center will be providing Ayahuasca retreats every month, with the main focus being centered around a 10 day Ayahuasca retreat experience. During each of the 10 day Ayahuasca retreats, guests will experience five ceremonies - four of which are with Ayahuasca, and one with a tobacco tea, which cleanses the patient on a deep physical level to best receive Ayahuasca.

Guests will also consume what’s known as a ‘master plant’ that the shaman assigns each person individually, depending on what each person needs most. Many Ayahuasca retreat centers do not provide this, which is what seperates The Garden of Peace from other centers who provide similar work. Additionally, to ensure that each attendee’s body is cleansed for the plants to work in their greatest capacity, the traditional Ayahuasca diet of no salt and no sugar is followed.

The Garden of Peace is in the process of registering themselves as a non-profit organization, as it is their vision to take all proceeds to help preserve the Amazon rainforest. "Deforestation and Ayahuasca consumption is happening at alarming rates," says Ashley Avery, Co-founder "and it is our mission to not only protect and preserve the lungs of our earth, but also re-plant this sacred plant so there is enough for future generations to benefit from."
