Jan 31, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Julie Johnson, the founder and CEO of Firebox training will deliver a condensed Oracle ADF training course at the Rocky Mountain Oracle User Groups’ annual convention, February 5, 6, 7 2014. Firebox is an instructor-owned and operated IT training company based on in Golden, Colorado and this will be the third  year that Firebox has participated in the annual Oracle training event.

This year’s course will be a condensed session on Multi-Step Process Using ADF Train and Bounded Task Flow. This course exercise and demonstration will show students some key efficiencies and combine programming tasks with components using multi-step processes. The course is designed for those seeking greater knowledge and understanding in application development and is geared to an intermediate audience.

Speaking with Firebox Training’s CEO Julie Johnson for a comment on her upcoming course, “The Rocky Mountain Oracle User Group convention is a unique opportunity to mix with top Oracle IT professionals and enhance your skills through the break-out courses. I will be delivering a short training on how to create a multi-step process using Oracle ADF train and bounded task flows, which is just one topic from our Oracle ADF training course”

Course Overview Navigating from one page to the next in an Oracle ADF application is quite easy. But what if a user wants a multi-step process with a visual indicator of where they are in the process? Meet the ADF Train component. This component can be added to pages that are involved in a multi-step process, highlighting the "stop" the user is currently visiting.

In the live demonstration the course will start from the beginning by creating the business components required for inserting a new record. Instruction will utilize the ADF Model Tester to test the functionality of the business components before ever touching the View-Controller layer.

The instructor will create a bounded task flow that uses a train, exploring the concept of train models and how to configure train stops along the way to customize the train behavior.

Finally, a page template will be created that utilizes the train model. The benefit of using a page template is that users can make changes to the page structure in just one file, affecting all of the pages based on that template. The template will be based on a top-level page and contain both a train and train button bar components. The pages will all be based on the page template.

“I really enjoy demonstrating that my company from top to bottom lives and breathes technology.” added Johnson.
