Jul 10, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Publishers and Writers of Orange County (PWOC) is an extension of Publishers and Writers of San Diego (PWSD), which has been serving as a forum for education, networking, and motivation since 1994. Originally founded as The San Diego Publishers Alliance, this group comprises members from all areas of publishing and writing — authors, independent publishers, editors, book packagers, designers, consultants, promotional professionals, students, and more. The membership includes numerous award-winning authors, writers, and publishing professionals.

Donna Stellhorn will be speaking on authors can use YouTube to promote their books. Stellhorn, who's been promoting her books for the last year on YouTube has more than 75,000 views on her channel. She taught herself how to create videos and promote them using social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Stellhorn is known for her lectures on Feng Shui and Astrology topics but in the past she's taught classes in social media and website design.

PWSD and it's sister chapter, PWOC, are recognized throughout the publishing community as a valuable organization whose members contribute greatly to the benefit of their profession. One key unique aspect of PWOC is that it focuses on the business of publishing.

Karla Olson is the current PWSD and PWOC president and a board member since 2006. She has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years and is the co-founder of BookStudio, a publishing consultancy. Before founding BookStudio, she was the Creative Director of Tehabi Books, the founder of Via Press, and worked in the editorial departments of two major publishers in New York City.

Donna Stellhorn is a professional Astrologer and Feng Shui expert with 10 published books. She extensively uses technology to promote her business and her books. She started programming BASIC in the early 80's and went on to build and then sell two companies. Currently she has half a dozen websites she personally has coded in HTML; she maintains several blogs, and communicates regularly via a variety of social media platforms. By mid-2015 her blogs had racked up more than 300k views and her YouTube channel had over 75k views.
