Using mini dental implants, Dr. Lans can permanently fix dentures to the upper and lower arches of the patient’s mouth, eliminating issues with loose or ill-fitted dentures.

To place implants for fixed dentures, no surgical incisions or gum flaps are required. The small metal screws can simply be inserted through the gum tissue into the jaw bone using only local anesthesia. A series of 4-6 mini dental implants are placed on the upper and lower arches of the mouth which are used to essentially snap the dentures into place. Once the dentures are installed, there is no need for conventional adhesive strips or paste to keep them in place.

Patients who already use removable dentures on a daily basis can simply have the mini implants placed in a short office visit of 1-2 hours and eat with their permanent teeth the same day. Patients who have failing teeth or who already have series of missing teeth can have any remaining teeth extracted first before the mini dental implants are placed.
