Feb 24, 2015 /prREACH/ -- ORANGE, Calif. -- Dr. Paul Athanasius, a dentist in orange CA, plans to issue scholarships to high school and college students for their tuition or other school expenses.
Dr. Paul Athanasius is offering two $250 scholarships during both the spring and the fall semesters to lucky students from high school and from college. The contest deadlines are April 1 and Oct. 1 for the scholarships, and those who wish to enter must write an 800-word essay on the topic of why a college education is still important.
Their essays must outline why, even though there are thousands of resources that can be found on the Internet for information, a college education is still an asset in life. Each essay must be creative, persuasive on the topic, creative and completely original. Those who wish to enter can inquire further and submit their entry to [email protected].
Applicants who wish to be considered for the scholarships must be;
- A senior in a California high school who wishes to continue on to post-secondary education at a university or a community college
- A college student in California currently enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and plan to do so for a four-year program.
- Be a resident of California.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and characteristics and the dedication that is required to pursue a post-secondary education.
The winners for the two scholarships will be determined by Crawford and O’Brien’s executive team, who will look over all of the submitted essays. Based on the credentials that are required for said scholarship, the winner will be notified via email. The names of the winners also will be posted on our Facebook page on April 30 and Oct. 31.
