Dunams is also the founder of Bestseller in a Weekend, a program geared toward helping entrepreneurs and business owners write and publish non-fiction books. She created Fiction in a Weekend in response to the demand for a program that provided guidance, direction, and support to aspiring novelists.
The National Novel Writing Month kicks off on November 1, 2015, and participants work toward completing a 50,000-word novel by November 30th. It is a nonprofit organization that began in 1999 and has helped hundreds of thousands of children and adults write a novel.
