Nov 17, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Texas Hill Country Resort and Conference Center “Flying L Guest Ranch” has just launched a new user- and mobile-friendly website, making it even easier for everyone to access and navigate the site.
Simple yet elegant, Flying L Guest Ranch’s new website was launched to provide interested individuals with a faster and more convenient means to reach the guest ranch. Being mobile-friendly, the website can be accessed on any device that can connect to the internet including tablets and smartphones.
Flying L hosts various events, including family reunions, day groups, youth groups, family vacations, corporate groups, church groups, golf groups and tournaments.
Flying L occupies 542 acres of land. The guest ranch was purchased by retired Air Corps Colonel Jack Lapham from the original Polish settlers in 1947. The Colonel aimed to build a place where people could relax. An airship was introduced and Lapham operated his own flight school at the guest ranch. The Colonel also used his powerful connections to organize a fashion show with a “Ranch & Aviation” theme for the grand opening of the ranch. The event was attended by photographers and journalists from LIFE magazine. An article discussing the success of the show was later published. Renowned fashion designers such as Neiman Marcus co-founder Stanley Marcus and popular names like Robert Fuller, John Wayne, Jim Reeves, Slim Pickens, Buck Owens, Willie Nelson and Chill Wills also attended the event.
Flying L was acquired by long-time employees in 2013. The T-Hangars and the Pilots’ Lounge are currently being restored as the current owners of the ranch want to uncover and value the rich history of Flying L.
With their new website, it is expected that more people will discover Flying L and appreciate its history and scenic views.
