Jul 11, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Dallas, Fort Worth, TX July 12, 2014--JoAnn Reyes, Founder and President of the Fort Worth Hope Center, a 501c3 organization, announced Friday that the non-profit has received a generous donation from The Time is Now Foundation, a charitable organization recently founded by Kent Clothier CEO of Real Estate World Wide, a real estate education company widely known for its distribution of real estate database systems.
The donation wasn't money and it wasn't food or clothing either. It was free access to the cutting edge real estate database system Find Motivated Sellers Now (FMSN).
Reyes, who has been trying for nearly two years to obtain the requisite 5 properties needed to qualify for FHA approval for Hope Center, decided to reach out to Clothier to ask if he would invest in them; she said, " I didn't want a hand out; I wanted a hand shake. We got that from Kent"
Find Motivate Sellers Now (FMSN) is a database system that helps real estate investors locate vacant houses. The system reveals which houses are vacant in any given county, the property owners, and the contact information for those potential, motivated sellers. Often real estate investors who use the system are able to make a deal on a home before it has been listed; before anyone else even knows it is available. Just as often, those same investors are able to find exceptional deals, because when homes are vacant, they are typically more of a liability to owners.
In her email to Clothier, Reyes said, "I've been trying to find owners of vacant homes and it is very difficult... after watching your (webinar) yesterday I was thrilled to see that you have this ability to contact them, so I decided to reach out to you to ask that you invest in the Fort Worth Hope Center, by allowing us to use your software, Find Motivate Sellers Now, free of charge.
We have to buy and sell 5 properties by October as part of our FHA approval process to buy homes through HUD as a non-profit. I need some good deals to be able to do that. I have one house now, but I need four more. I need your help".
So impressed was Clothier with the work the Hope Center has been doing, he quickly agreed.
The Fort Worth Hope Center "fights hunger and feeds hope" in the lives of thousands of children each year. In Terrant County over 500,000 children live in poverty; their parents or caregivers make just enough to be unqualified for food stamps, but not enough to feed them nutritious foods.
In addition to giving out food to families three times per week, the Hope Center strives to enable the needy to overcome poverty by affording them the opportunity to grow and become self sufficient. They do this by collaborating with community businesses and organizations to provide for food distribution, youth programs, educational programs, vocational job training and placement, housing assistance, and health and social referrals.
The non-profit has been growing at a 25% annual rate and its next goal is to become FHA approved so that they can purchase HUD housing at non-profit rates.
Of the donation, Clothier said, "we are happy to do it. Part of the road to success is giving back. I think it was Gregory Scot Reid who said, 'The greatest success we'll know is helping others succeed and grow'- I think that just about sums it up"
