Gallegos was selected to replace retiring Executive Director, Robert R. Garcia, effective April 1, 2014. “The Board of Directors is pleased to have Frank join Cen Cal in this leadership role and appreciates Robert’s contributions the past 26 years,” said Cloud. The two men will work together on the transition prior to Garcia’s retirement on June 30th.
Gallegos brings over 26 years in commercial banking experience in loan production management. He has worked in large and community bank environments, as well as for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). As a native of the Central Valley, Gallegos is passionate about helping local small businesses succeed using access to capital, particularly through SBA financing. Gallegos has actively served the community through Fresno State, Clovis Unified School District, local Little League Baseball and the City of Fresno economic development projects.
The Cen Cal Business Finance Group is a non-profit, corporation founded in 1984 for the express purpose of administering the Small Business Administration’s Economic Development Loan Program in California. Better known as the 504 Real Estate Advantage Loan (REAL) program, it provides small businesses access to capital to expand through real estate acquisitions for a minimum down payment and a low, fully amortized fixed interest rate. The borrowers are expected to create jobs or meet other eligibility criteria as set by the SBA.
The Cen Cal Business Finance Group is also the exclusive manager of the city of Fresno’s Revolving Loan Program. In cooperation with participating lenders, financing is made available to any small business located in the city of Fresno at terms and conditions that are considered preferable. A job creation goal is also a part of the criteria of this program.
