Georgetown, TX, Dec 25, 2019 /prREACH/ -- À La Paix, a growing skincare brand, is steadily emerging as a familiar brand on Amazon. According to the company, its recently launched Hydroxy Cleanse glycolic face cleanser has received an encouraging response from many users. On the heels of the company's success, Jody Comet, the senior spokesperson for À La Paix shared several tips for safe and effective skin exfoliation at home.
Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. While it is true that it can improve the appearance of the skin, it's not for everyone. If not done properly, it could do more harm than good, Comet explains.
"There are two main methods for at-home exfoliation, and the method you choose should be guided by your skin type. Mechanical exfoliation uses a tool, such as a brush, sponge or scrub to physically remove dead skin cells. The other method involves applying natural exfoliating agents to the face, such as alpha and beta hydroxy acids, to gently dissolve dead skin cells," said Comet.
To prevent skin damage while exfoliating, À La Paix recommends adhering to the following guidelines.
- Prescription retinoid creams or products containing retinol or benzoyl peroxide should be avoided because using these products may worsen dry skin or even cause acne breakouts.
- Exfoliators should be applied gently using small, circular motions for about 30 seconds, and then rinsed off with lukewarm water.
- Moisturizer should be applied immediately after exfoliating to keep the skin healthy and hydrated.
- The application schedule should be chosen to suit skin type and exfoliation method.
- The selected exfoliation method must suit the skin type.
"Hydroxy Cleanse Exfoliating face wash combines the skin nourishing properties of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, jojoba beads, lactic acid, orange peel and grapefruit peel oil and is safe for all skin types. By exfoliating dead skin, it smooths fine lines and wrinkles to make the skin more beautiful. We have had no reports of side effects from users to date," added Comet.
