Sep 13, 2013 /prREACH/ -- The owners of Ski and Sports Co, Inc announced their grand opening of their new online stored slated to open October 15th. The owners have been selling skis and snowshoes for over 30 years in the ski town of Mammoth Lakes, California.  They've been running an online store focused solely on nordic skis for several years and decided earlier this year to expand their products via a new web store.   "People increasingly have been going on-line to purchase goods and our understanding of the products makes a great combination to sell our winter gear online." says Julie, one of the owners.  The name of the new e-commerce store is Ski and Sport Shack, which can be found at http://skiandsportshack.com.  This store will feature high end goods that focuses on winter adventure sports including cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter hiking and running.

The store will feature great quality products, including snowshoes and clothing that are made in the USA and Canada.  "We really wanted to focus on offering products that last." says Julie.  "Spending a bit more on the front end for quality skis and snowshoes is worth it, since the product will hold up better to the tough winter conditions.  The cheaper products tend to disintegrate much quicker.  We have hand selected our favorite products for inclusion in the store that are great quality gear." she reiterates.  The store will carry winter sports good from such manufacturers as Fischer skis, Casco eyewear, Sporthill clothing, Crescent Moon snowshoes and Kahtoola winter hiking gear.  The store will also carry racks to transports the skis, snowshoes and other winter as well as summer gear.

The e-commerce store will provide a lot of information for the buyer to make informed decisions.   "It's important for shoppers to understand the product before buying, and therefore we've added videos, buyer's guides, and specific product information throughout the store to make it easy to compare products. People come into my shop all the time and want to know what makes a product great and how the products differ.  We've translated that conversation on our online web site." says Brian, one of the other owners.
