Grand Junction, CO, Nov 01, 2021 /prREACH/ -- The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) has announced IntelliTec College of Grand Junction in Grand Junction, Colorado, is a 2020 - 2021 ACCSC School of Distinction. IntelliTec College has fulfilled ACCSC’s requirements for institutions seeking accreditation and has been chosen to receive one of this year’s ACCSC School of Distinction Awards.

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education. The ACCSC School of Distinction Award is intended to recognize ACCSC-accredited institutions that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of accreditation as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs. Through this award, it is the Commission’s intent to recognize the significant achievement of schools that successfully completed the accreditation process and satisfied all criteria required of an ACCSC-accredited institution to be in good standing with the Commission.

Cheryl Morris, Campus Director of the Grand Junction campus, was excited to announce the ACCSC recognition. Ms. Morris said, “We are honored and excited to receive this honor. It is a significant achievement, and we are proud of our entire community for coming together to earn this recognition.”

As a School of Distinction, IntelliTec College of Grand Junction was honored throughout the 2021 ACCSC Professional Development Conference (PDC). The PDC was held September 20 – 22, 2021, in Reston, Virginia. The theme of the conference, “A Community of Partners in Education,” highlighted the focus for the conference: building partnerships within the higher education community to enhance and promote student excellence. IntelliTec College of Grand Junction was presented with the School of Distinction award during the Annual Meeting and Institutional Awards Celebration on Wednesday, September 22nd, at 9:00 am.
