Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jul 23, 2019 /prREACH/ -- IntelliTec College is proud to announce they will be hosting an upcoming rally in the VCE “Let VETS Choose” campus tour. Let VETS Choose is a Tour Across America hosted by schools for their Veteran students, alumnae and families. The Colorado Springs campus of IntelliTec College will host the rally stop on September 17, 2019, from 12 - 2 pm.

The Veterans for Career Education (VCE) is an advocacy campaign founded by Veterans to support and protect a Veteran’s choice of school, program and career. The mission of the VCE is to support the right of Veterans to use their earned education benefits to gain career skills at the college or institution of their choice. VCE representatives will begin hosting campus rallies across the country starting July, 2019. All military students, their families, alumnae and staff are encouraged to attend to support Veterans right to choose the school, their programs and their careers.
According to Michael Dakduk, a Marine Veteran and co-chair of the VCE, “Veterans should be able to use their hard-earned education benefits at any college or university they choose… Veterans attending career institutions in the private sector, and Veteran graduates, are not going to sit quietly on the sidelines while some lawmakers and advocacy organizations try to restrict where they use their earned benefits.” The VCE “Let VETS Choose” campus tour aims to raise awareness and gather a following to further advance VCE’s mission, as new regulations in Washington are threatening access for the post 9/11 GI Benefit to be used at career schools.
For more information about the Veterans for Career Education (VCE), visit their website at http://vets4careered.org. On the website visitors can learn more about the organization’s mission, read Veterans’ success stories, meet the Veteran Ambassadors, and the co-chairs of the VCE. Also on the VCE website is the tour schedule in its entirety, and links to VCE’s social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
The VCE is supported by Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU), of which IntelliTec College is a member. IntelliTec College, accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), has long been a proud supporter of Veterans. Dr. David A. Scott, an Army Veteran of 25 years, is the Campus Director. Dr. Scott stated, “We are excited to host this rally for all Veterans. Nearly half of our current student body are Veteran students. We also have many of our faculty and staff who have served across the services.” As a career-training institute, IntelliTec strives to provide educational and training opportunities to Veteran students.
