May 24, 2016 /prREACH/ -- Lifestyles INFOCUS® is an official partner with the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors long-term health initiative Live Well San Diego.
Lifestyles INFOCUS®, LSI, is a female owned, family business based in San Diego that serves as a wellness solution for companies, organizations and communities both locally and nationwide. LSI plans and organizes interactive health and wellness events for companies. All events are tailored to meet a company’s specific needs and demographic. Led by health coaches, these events may include team building programs, environmental workshops, massages, and wellness clinics.
Live Well San Diego is the County of San Diego’s vision for building better health, safety, and well being of all county residents. Created in 2010, the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors realized the need for a long-term plan to offset the wave of chronic disease and rising healthcare costs. The plan evolved into Live Well San Diego, a vision for county leaders and staff to incorporate the Live Well San Diego choices into daily routines along with integrating them into key policies. Live Well San Diego and LSI’s shared vision is bringing best health practices that individuals, families, and companies can implement into a healthy lifestyle.
America’s healthiest cities are those that provide a mixture of infrastructure, community assets and policies that encourage healthy lifestyles according to the American College of Sports Medicine.
Cities across the United States have or are developing a master long-term plan to elevate health and wellness towards improving social, emotional, and physical well-being of its’ residents. The general plan may include more walking trails, areas to gather socially, or programs to bring into the workplace. A survey from the American Planning Association showed less than 10 percent of respondents said their city had a master plan to address health and wellness. Live Well San Diego is San Diego’s County’s plan.
Lifestyles INFOCUS® plans and implements Health and Wellness Events at the workplace to bring increased productivity, lower absenteeism, and a less stressed workforce. Their goal is well suited for Live Well San Diego’s purpose and was a logical step to partner together. LSI will customize events with wellness professionals to focus on education,and interactive screenings for attendees to leave with new information on achieving a more well rounded healthy way of life.
