Oct 04, 2014 /prREACH/ -- October 1, 2014 (Las Vegas, NV) – The 10th Annual Podcast Awards Show will add a new feature in honor of their 10th anniversary: the Podcasting Hall of Fame. The first group of honorees will be inducted at the 10th annual Podcast Awards Show, Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 at the Westgate Hotel (formerly LVH), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The awards are part of New Media Expo #NMX, held April 13 – 16, 2015. New Media Expo and the Podcast Awards Show will be side-by-side with NAB Show.

“We have been talking about creating a podcasting hall of fame for a few years now. This being the 10th annual Podcast Awards Show, it just felt like the right time to begin celebrating the icons of the podcasting community in a formal setting. The Podcast Awards Show is the obvious forum to recognize these pioneers“ said Rick Calvert, CEO & Co-founder of NMX Events. “The Podcast Hall of Fame is a way to document the history of podcasting. It’s the best way to recognize the people who have contributed to the art of podcasting whether as a podcaster, technology innovator, or someone who has pioneered the medium. The Hall of Fame allows the podcasting community as a whole to say thank you to the pioneers.”

The Podcast Awards Show will join the other New Media Expo events and sessions, including over 100 workshops and seminars, as well as featured exhibitors at the NAB Show. In addition, New Media Expo will feature a non-traditional method of introducing suppliers and attendees during Speed Networking, a one-on-one meeting to discuss new products and services.
