Deemed a “low probability but high impact event,” a massive solar storm headed directly toward Earth could result in disrupting communications for years and putting life on the planet in jeopardy. Continue reading

Apr 11, 2016 /prREACH/ -- For years now, Power4Patriots officials have warned that a major solar storm event could cause long-term blackouts, knock civilization back into the 1800s and end up killing a huge majority of Earth’s population.

Now, agencies including NASA and the Department of Homeland Security are preparing for a potential geomagnetic storm originating from the sun that they and solar storm scientists agree could cause enormous damage to life on the planet, according to the UK’s Independent newspaper.

“Scientists are calling a massive solar storm a ‘high impact event,’ and even that might be an understatement,” said Allen Baler, Partner at 4Patriots LLC, which provides products that help people become more independent and self-reliant, including Power4Patriots.

“Some people think it’s unlikely to happen, but if it does – as it did in 1859 and is now long overdue to occur again – only people who have prepared for it will be able to deal with it. When the grid goes down for an extended period of time, only those who have another power source will be able to keep lights on and keep the heat or air conditioning going.”

Power4Patriots is a recently updated series of videos and manuals describing how to build solar panels, wind turbines, water heaters and solar heaters.

The system includes six videos demonstrating how to build a solar panel, including choosing the right materials, finding the right site for the system and avoiding costly mistakes, as well as two instruction manuals with step-by-step, illustrated directions. It also includes four videos and two instruction manuals detailing how to build a wind turbine. The costs are under $200 to build a solar panel and under $200 to build a wind turbine, on average. The time commitment to build a solar panel ranges from two to four hours, with the first one requiring more time than subsequent panels. A wind turbine requires a handful of hours to build.

Consumers who purchase already-made solar panels and wind turbines spend three to four times that amount. Installing solar panels and a wind turbine at one’s home will cut energy costs by as much as 75 percent.

Power4Patriots is a series of videos and manuals that teach do-it-yourselfers how to build solar panels, wind turbines, water heaters and solar heaters. Cost savings are up to 75 percent.
