Aug 03, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Major power outages over large areas, plane crashes, satellite disruptions, train derailment, all of these calamities and many others could occur if a massive solar storm strikes the Earth. The U.S. and other countries will have only a 12-hour warning if such a storm is headed our way.

That’s according to a recent Fox News article regarding a report from the United Kingdom Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. A major solar storm could put Americans and others around the globe in the dark for an extended period of time.

Strong solar flares have been known to knock out electrical power over large areas of the globe. A coronal mass ejection of plasma from the sun, during which the corona would detach and shoot off x-rays and high-energy particles directly to the Earth, would produce even more devastating results.

Power4Patriots officials warn Americans they need to prepare for a shutdown of the electrical grid from solar flares by installing solar panels and wind turbines on their property.

“Many people are looking for ways to protect themselves and their families from the results of power outages as solar storms and extreme weather that causes blackouts seem to be on the increase,” said Allen Baler, Partner at 4Patriots LLC.
