About prREACH. prREACH is a newswire service which distributes press releases on behalf of our users.
Our commitment. We take your privacy seriously. As a pioneer of online visibility and search engine optimized press release distribution services, we are committed to establishing and maintaining policies and procedures which protect personal information gathered from our customers, prospects and other users of prREACH.
Operator (data controller). The Website is operated by prREACH, a division of Flat World Network Inc. having a registered business address at 13-3120 Rutherford Rd., Suite 342, Vaughan, ON L4K 0B2, Canada (“we”, “us”, and “our”). We act as a controller with regard to your personal information and, unless stated otherwise in the applicable law, we are accountable for the processing of your personal information.
Applicable laws. We process your personal information in accordance with the applicable privacy laws, including, but not limited to the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Age restrictions. prREACH is not marketed and should not be used by anyone younger than 18 years old. Thus, we do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 18. If you learn that anyone younger than 18 has unlawfully provided us with personal information and you are a parent or legal guardian of that person, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to delete such personal information.
What personal information do we collect?
Types of personal information. We comply with data minimization principles and we collect only a minimal amount of personal information that is strictly necessary to ensure your use of prREACH:
- When you sign up on the Website, we collect your (i) username, (ii) first name, (iii) last name, (iv) company or business name, (v) address, (vi) phone number, and (vi) email address.
- When you make a payment through the Website, we collect your (i) credit card type, (ii) cardholder name, (iii) credit card number, and (iv) expiration date or (v) PayPal payment details.
- When you contact us by email, we collect your (i) name, (ii) email address, and (iii) any information you decide to provide us in your message.
- When you book an appointment on the Website, we collect your (i) full name, (ii) email address, (iii) phone number, (iv) Skype username, and (v) any information you decide to provide us in your booking form.
- When you place a comment on our blog, we collect your (i) name, (ii) email address, (iii) website, and (iv) any information you decide to provide us in your comment.
- When you submit a support ticket, we collect your (i) name, (ii) email address, and (iii) any information you decide to provide us in your support ticket.
- When you opt-in for receiving our free reports and other marketing communication, we collect your email address.
- When you submit a press release for distribution, we collect your entire press release, including any personal information contained therein.
Additional information. We may receive certain additional data if you participate in a focus group, contest, activity or event, request support, interact with our social media accounts or otherwise communicate with us. Please note that the provision of such data is optional and you may choose what personal information you would like to share with us.
Sensitive Data. We DO NOT collect, under any circumstances, any special categories of personal information (“sensitive data”) from you, such as your health information, opinion about your religious and political beliefs, racial origins, membership of a professional or trade association, or information about your sexual orientation, unless you decide, at your own discretion, to provide such information to us.
Failure to provide personal information. If you fail to provide us with your personal information when requested, we may not be able to perform the requested operation and you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Website, receive our services, or get our response.

Disclosing and sharing your personal information
Do we disclose your personal information? In some circumstances, where necessary for legitimate purposes, we may disclose your personal information to third party service providers (data processors) and other third parties with whom we cooperate. For example, we may share your personal information and non-personal data with entities that provide certain technical support services to us, such as web analytics, data processing, advertising, email distribution, and developing services. Please note that we do not sell your personal information.
When do we disclose your personal information? The disclosure of your personal information is limited to the situations when such information is required for the following purposes:
- Ensuring the operation of prREACH;
- Ensuring the delivery of the services requested by you;
- Providing you with the requested information;
- Pursuing our legitimate business interests;
- Enforcing our rights, preventing fraud, and security purposes;
- Performing our contractual obligations;

- If you provide your prior consent to such a disclosure.

Disclosing press releases. If you decide to submit a press release for distribution through our system, we will transmit your entire press release including any personal information therein contained to our media contacts and online distribution points, including search engines. Such a disclosure is necessary for ensuring that we comply with our contractual obligations to you.
Sharing of non-personal data. We may disclose or use non-personal data (as defined below) and de-identified data for any purpose. For example, we may share it with prospects or partners for business or research purposes, for improving prREACH, or developing new products and services.
Legal requests. If necessary, we will respond to lawful requests from public authorities to disclose information about the users of prREACH to the extent necessary for pursuing a public interest objective, such as national security or law enforcement.
Types of non-personal data. While you are browsing on the Website, we may automatically collect certain technical non-personal data about your use of the Website. Such non-personal data does not allow us to identify you in any manner and it is not considered to be personal information. The non-personal data collected by us includes information about:
- The buttons you click while using the Website;
- The features of the Website that you choose to use;
- The parts of the Website that you use during one session;
- Device attributes (operating system, hardware and software versions, platform, screen size, etc.);
- The country in which you reside;
- Network information; and

For example, we may need to keep your personal information in order to maintain our accountancy records. In such cases, we will store your personal information for the time period stipulated by the applicable law and delete the personal information as soon as the required retention period expires.
Our security measures. We employ appropriate organizational and technical information security measures, such as secured networks, limited access by our staff, industry-standard encryption technologies, and anonymization of your personal information (where possible). We also have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information that we have collected from you. In order to ensure the security of your personal information, we kindly ask you to use prREACH through a secure network only.
Security breaches. Although we put our best efforts to protect your personal information, given the nature of communications and information processing technology and the Internet, we cannot be liable for any unlawful destruction, loss, use, copying, modification, leakage, and falsification of your personal information caused by circumstances that are beyond our reasonable control. In case a data breach occurs, we will inform our local data protection authority without undue delay and immediately take reasonable measures to mitigate the breach, as required by the applicable law. Our liability for any security breaches will be limited to the highest extent permitted by the applicable law.
The Website contains links to other websites (e.g., social media providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites. You will need to check the privacy policies of those websites to understand how they process your personal information. If you access a third-party website, you may be requested to disclose your personal information. It is the your responsibility to keep such information private and confidential.
Marketing messages. We will send you marketing messages, such as newsletters, brochures, promotions, surveys and advertisements, or contact you for marketing purposes only if we receive your consent to receive such marketing messages. You can opt-out from receiving such marketing messages at any time free of charge by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link contained in any of the messages sent to you or contacting us directly.
Informational notices. From time to time, we may send you informational notices, such as service-related, technical or administrative emails, information about prREACH, your privacy and security, and other important matters. Please note that we will send such notices on an “if-needed” basis and they do not fall within the scope of direct marketing communication that requires your prior consent.
Some of our users are located in the European Union (EU). We and some of our data processors listed in section “Disclosing and sharing personal information” are located outside the EU. It means that, if you reside in the EU, we may need to transfer your personal information to jurisdictions outside the EU. In case it is necessary to make such a transfer, we will make sure that the jurisdiction in which the recipient third party is located guarantees an adequate level of protection for your personal information (e.g., the country in which the recipient is located is white-listed by the European Commission or the recipient is a Privacy-Shield certified entity) or we conclude an agreement with the respective third party that ensures such protection (e.g., a data processing agreement based on the Standard Contractual Clauses provided by the European Commission).
What rights do you have? Subject to any exemptions provided by law, you may ask us to:
- Get a copy of your personal information that we store;

- Rectify inaccurate personal information;
- Move your personal information to another processor;
- Delete your personal information from our systems;

In order verify the legitimacy of your request, we may ask you to provide us with an identifying piece of information, so that we would be able to identify you in our system. We will answer your request within a reasonable timeframe but no later than 2 weeks. Your requests can be submitted free of charge once per calendar year. If you submit your requests more than once per year, we reserve the right to charge a small administrative fee for providing the requested information.
How to launch a complaint? If you are not satisfied with the way in which we handle your personal information, we kindly ask you to contact us first and express your concerns. After you contact us, we will investigate your complaint and provide you with our response as soon as possible. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For example, in Canada, The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada is responsible for dealing with privacy issues in the private commercial sector.
What is a cookie? A cookie is a small piece of data, typically consisting of letters and numbers. When you visit a website, the website may send a cookie to your browser.
