Jul 18, 2017 /prREACH/ -- Looking for a fun way to beat the summer heat? Interested in supporting a local adoption agency? Join Adoptions From The Heart on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Glastonbury, CT Sweet Frog for a cool a delicious sweet treat! All a visitor needs to do is let the cashier know they are supporting Adoptions From The Heart and Sweet Frog will provide 20% of their total bill to the agency.
Adoptions From The Heart, which has an office on Hebron Ave. in Glastonbury, CT, conveniently located close to Hartford, CT, is a non-profit child adoption agency which offers services to the adoption triad - pregnant women, prospective adoptive parents, and their children.
Services for expectant mothers include comprehensive supportive counseling, help obtaining medical care for both mother and child, help filing insurance claims, the ability to review the portfolios of prospective parents, and help getting legal assistance if needed.
For prospective adoptive individuals and families, help navigating the domestic adoption process, assistance with international homes studies, support groups, post-placement visits, and information regarding potential financial assistance are all available.
One of the biggest myths surrounding adoption is that it’s difficult for American families to adopt domestically, a myth that Adoptions From The Heart is working hard to dispel. In fact, nearly 18,000 families successfully adopt infants in the country every single year and the majority of parents are matched with their child in less than a year. Through their Domestic Adoption program, the agency places infants with their adoptive family directly from the hospital. For those who are interested in learning more, Glastonbury, CT office is hosting another event, an informational meeting called “Discover Domestic Adoption” on August 23rd, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Registration is required but the webinar is free. A social worker will be leading the webinar and will be available to answer questions.
