The comprehensive author site Ken Blanchard Books.com is distinct from Ken Blanchard Companies’ corporate website and showcases the more than 60 books written by Ken Blanchard.
In 2016, after presenting the web project to several web developers, Ken Blanchard Companies hired TinyFrog Technologies. Ken Blanchard Companies was influenced by the web agency’s reviews and references which were way above other companies, according to executive editor Martha Lawrence.
The goal of the project was to create a site where fans of Ken Blanchard’s books could engage with the author, regardless of whether these fans used the products provided by Ken Blanchard Companies. Although the new site would be linked to the corporate one, it was important that the author site had a different look and feel. In this light, TinyFrog designed a new logo that was complementary but distinct from Ken Blanchard Companies’ logo.
After a comprehensive strategy phase, TinyFrog designed and developed a customized website in alignment with the brand’s existing corporate platform. The final layout and navigation was user-friendly. A user could easily search for a book within a specific category, such as Managing Self or Managing Team, and view details about the book, including reviews, press coverage, webinars and links to purchase the book on third-party sellers.
The finished website was built on the WordPress platform so that Ken Blanchard Companies team can easily update the website with new content and book releases. and the internal team that would be updating the website in the future. After working on the project throughout 2016, the new website launched in May of 2017 to coincide with the publication of Ken Blanchard’s latest book, “One Minute Mentoring.” According to Ken Blanchard Companies executive editor Martha Lawrence, the web project was a dream project and the TinyFrog team was patient, kept them informed, stuck to their pricing and offered wonderful training when the website was complete.
