Feb 07, 2017 /prREACH/ -- Hollywood Connection, a Hollywood area dance studio, is expanding to four more dance conventions and competitions around the US. The cities of Burbank, CA, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, and St. Louis, MO, will also host dance conventions and competitions along with the 8 already held by Hollywood Connection throughout the US. The competitions will culminate with the National Finals in Anaheim, CA in July.
Bill Bohl and Kimberly Rhinelander started Hollywood Connection 14 years ago to educate dancers on the commercial dance industry. Students seeking a career in dance or just for fun, will find competition beneficial to learn discipline, teamwork, and to receive feedback on strengths and weaknesses. All forms of dance are encouraged and in competition, teams are rewarded for technique, showmanship,choreography and the ability to entertain and tell a story.
At each different dance convention and competition, various styles of dance classes will be offered to those registered. It includes two days of classes. Some dance styles taught will include, jazz, hip hop, contemporary lyrical, and musical theater. There are four different age divisions for competition or students can take the classes without competing.
Also available at the conventions is the ability for dance studio owners to connect with other like minded studio owners and teachers. These seminars are created to bring a fresh approach to business practices and to inspire the mind, body, and heart. Topics may include building enrollment and increasing revenue, management and policies, social media and marketing, and more.
A special one day workshop is offered in select cities for dancers 5 to 6 years of age. The workshop is an introduction to the convention experience with the finale performed on stage prior to the start of the main competition.
