Here are three great ways to beat boredom during the summer, and all year long.
Seek Out Local Theaters – Not only is a trip to the local community theater fun and a great way to expand the mind, but also, there are many ways to get involved that provide hours of entertainment. Check out local community theaters. Many have special activities for kids in the afternoons, or roles in plays that kids can fill.
Have a Family Game Night – Set aside one night a week for family game night. Each week, allow a different family member to decide which games to play. Another option is to take a vote on which games to play each week. Set out finger foods like pizza, hot dogs and snacks for everyone to enjoy as they play. Remember to keep the playing field as fair as possible. Younger family members may need some help playing more advanced games. Team up, giving the youngest in the family someone older to play with so they also have fun.
Chill Out with a Hot Tub at Home – During the day, hot tubs are an exciting place to splash away the heat and have fun. Everyone in the family will love the bubbling water and powerful massaging jets. Hot tubs give the entire family all of the pleasures of a pool with far less work and less space requirements.
At the end of the day, a spa gives family members a chance to leave the day’s worries behind.
