Miami, FL, Feb 16, 2021 /prREACH/ -- The Milord sisters were not going to let the pandemic get the best of them. They turned the global crisis into an opportunity to have a positive impact on local farmers and artists in Haiti while also introducing Miami to a new treat — Haitian coffee.
Knowing that coffee is something most Americans enjoy, the sisters, who are always championing and promoting Haitian culture in Miami, want Florida residents to know that there is an alternative to big-box store brand and Cuban coffee. Haitian coffee may not be as well known, but with its mellow, refined taste, it is quickly catching on as the coffee of choice.
In the past, Haiti was well known for its coffee. The traditional and naturally organic process has changed little since the 1700s, when its coffee was robustly exported around the globe. However, politics and natural disasters ebbed away at Haiti’s market share, and over time, Haitian coffee became rarer to find outside of the Caribbean.
The sisters aim to change that.
They have started an online store featuring Bonjour Blend gourmet coffee, which can be bought ground or in whole-bean form. Bonjour is made from 100% Arabica beans harvested from the mountains using centuries-old techniques that preserve the integrity of each bean.
With Welcome to Little Haiti’s coffee and other products, users are always assured of a high-quality, fair-trade product that supports local farmers and makers.
