Jul 20, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Whitestone Builders, a builder of custom luxury homes based in Houston, has just announced that it is a finalist for multiple 2015 Star Awards from the Texas Association of Builders.

The Texas Association of Builders created the Star Awards years ago as an effort to recognize excellence in custom building. The statewide competition started in 1992 and, in 2005, was expanded beyond Texas to include building projects in Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Whitestone Builders, which has won a number of awards over the years for its bathrooms and kitchens, received three nominations for Best Master Bathroom and two for Best Kitchen, as well as two nominations for best Architectural Design, one for Best Specialty Room and one for Best Outdoor Living Space.

Rhonda Dupree, who owns one of the homes that was a finalist in four categories, says: "We couldn't be happier with our new home and it’s so exciting that rooms in our home are up for an award. The outdoor living space is exquisite. It’s the perfect blend of beauty and functionality and we are already enjoying it. Star Award winners will be announced and celebrated on July 30, 2015 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
