The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship Program is a workforce development program that provides eligible military spouses up to $4,000 of financial assistance towards a license, certification or Associate’s degree in a portable career field and occupation.
Sacramento, CA, Aug 27, 2019 /prREACH/ -- Asher College is proud to announce they are now an eligible provider for the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) scholarships to military spouses who qualify.
The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) scholarship is one of the Department of Defense’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) programs. SECO offers comprehensive coaching, information, tools and resources to support military spouse career exploration, education, training and licensing, employment readiness and career connections. Through the MyCAA scholarship, eligible military spouses may receive up to $4,000 of tuition assistance. The scholarship assists military spouses in pursuing licenses, certificates, certifications or Associate’s degrees necessary to gain employment in high-demand, high-growth portable career fields and occupations. Spouses may use their MyCAA Scholarship funds at any academic institution approved for participation in the scholarship.
Asher College, with locations in Sacramento, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Dallas, Texas, offers Associate of Applied Science Degrees and Certificate programs for careers in Information Technology, Administrative Health Services, and Business Administration. In order to qualify for the MyCAA scholarship, Asher College had to apply and meet the Department of Defense’s requirements. To participate, schools must be accredited nationally or regionally by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Asher College is accredited through ACCET, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.

At Asher, we also want the spouses of our active military to have every available opportunity for education.”
