Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran Discusses Finding Investors, Bringing Good Ideas to Market and Selling Yourself as Hard as You Sell Your Products
Jun 29, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Scottsdale, AZ – June 26, 2015 - Barbara Corcoran, a “shark” investor on the ABC television show, Shark Tank, recently appeared as a guest on Rich Dad Radio with host Robert Kiyosaki, best selling author (Rich Dad Poor Dad.) In this segment, Corcoran discusses what she’s looking for when investing in a new business.
So many people have a million-dollar idea but don’t have the money to make their idea a reality. Kiyosaki stresses that to be an entrepreneur a person must know how to raise capital.
Rich Dad contacted Corcoran about her investment in the company Grace and Lace (http://www.graceandlace.com) and owners Rick & Melissa Hinnant, who appeared on Shark Tank to pitch their line of lacey leg warmers. Corcoran not only fell in love with the couple but also the product. Rick & Melissa also appeared on Rich Dad Radio and explained how Corcoran was the perfect partner for their business. “Barbara is a phenomenal partner,” says Rick Hinnant. “We had a good cohesion before even talking to her.”
Kiyosaki asked Corcoran to explain why she turns certain entrepreneurs down. Corcoran explains, “If there is any mistrust, the pitch goes down from there.” She goes on to say, “I want a good person as a partner more than a good business.”
“I’ve intentionally invested in businesses where I didn’t like the business model, I didn’t think they were going to make money, it made no common sense, but I loved the entrepreneur,” says Corcoran.
